# Al Fresco: Sourcing Outdoor Furniture
Phase 2. The Outdoor section is usually located in the open-air area or Area B ground floor.
## 1. Materials
* **PE Rattan (Wicker):** Synthetic plastic that looks like woven wood.
* *Check:* The "Hours" rating (UV resistance). 2000 hours is standard. 3000 is premium.
* **Aluminum:** Rust-proof. Powder coated. Lightweight.
* **Teak Wood:** Expensive, needs maintenance, but luxury look.
## 2. Cushions (The Weak Point)
* The frame lasts 10 years. The cushion lasts 1 year.
* **Fabric:** Solution-dyed acrylic (like Sunbrella) is best but expensive. Polyester fades fast.
* **Foam:** Quick-dry foam is essential if it rains.
## 3. Production Hubs
* **Foshan:** High-end Aluminum/Rattan.
* **Ningbo:** Cheaper, mass market, steel frame sets.
## Summary
Volume is the killer. Assemble dimensions matter. Look for "Stackable" designs or "Knock-Down" (KD) packing to fit more in a container.
