If you have one free evening to go shopping in Guangzhou, where should you go?

The two heavyweights are Beijing Road (Peking Road) in the old district and huge malls like Teem Mall / Parc Central in the new Tianhe district.

They offer completely different experiences. Here is how to choose.

Option 1: Beijing Road (Beijing Lu) - The Historic Choice

This is a pedestrian walking street famous for its history. You can literally see the ancient road layers from the Song Dynasty preserved under glass panels on the street.
