# Ground Level: Sourcing Tiles & Flooring
Located in Phase 1 (Building Materials Area). This section is heavy.
## 1. Key Categories
* **Ceramic/Porcelain Tiles:** Polished, Glazed, Matt, Large format slabs (Sintered Stone is the trend).
* **SPC Flooring:** Stone Plastic Composite. It looks like wood but is waterproof and cheap. Huge in US/EU markets.
* **Mosaics:** Glass/Stone decorative sheets.
## 2. Foshan is Everything
Just like sanitary ware, **Foshan** is the tile capital.
* Almost every reputable supplier at the fair has a showroom in Foshan.
* **Tip:** The fair booth is tiny. Use the fair to meet the boss, then take a taxi to their Foshan showroom (HQ) to see the full range.
## 3. Large Format Slabs (Sintered Stone)
* The trend is "Bigger is Better". 1600mm x 3200mm slabs.
* **Use case:** Kitchen countertops, wall cladding (to replace marvelous marble).
* **Logistics:** These break easily. You need specialized A-Frome crates for shipping.
## 4. SPC Flooring (The Click-Lock Revolution)
* **Why buy:** It is replacing laminate and real wood. It's 100% waterproof.
* **Check:** The **Wear Layer** thickness (0.3mm vs 0.5mm). The **Underlayment** (IXPE foam attached?).
## Summary
Shipping is the main cost here. Tiles are heavy. You are really negotiating FOB prices to maximize how many sq meters fit in a 20ft container.
