Forever Bloom: Sourcing Artificial Plants
Phase 2 (Home Decor). The quality of "Faux" has skyrocketed.
1. Key Categories
- Silk Flowers: For weddings and home decor.
- Plastic Succulents: Cheap, massive volume.
- Large Trees: Faux Fiddle Leaf Figs, Palms (for office/hotel lobbies).
2. Real Touch vs. Standard
- Real Touch: Coated with latex/polymer to feel wet/cold like a real petal. More expensive.
- Fabric: Standard polyester. Looks fake close up.
3. UV Resistance
- For outdoor plants (Boxwood hedges, Topiaries), you MUST ask for UV Protected material.
- Test: Cheap plastic turns blue/grey after 3 months in the sun. Ask for a 2-year UV warranty.
4. Packing Density
- Flowers are light but bulky.
- Stem Bending: Factories bend the stems to fit the box. Ensure the wire inside is strong enough to be straightened without snapping.
Summary
Check the "Glue" visibility. Bad factories leave hot glue strings everywhere. Good factories are clean.
