# Tiny Clothes, Big Rules: Sourcing Kids Wear
Phase 3.
## 1. Safety is #1
* **Choking Hazards:** Buttons must be securely attached (Pull test). No drawstrings around the neck (Strangulation risk).
* **Chemicals:** Formaldehyde-free fabrics are mandatory for baby clothes.
## 2. Production Hubs
* **Huzhou (Zhili):** The "Children's Clothing Capital". 50% of China's kids' clothes are made here.
* **Foshan:** Strong for baby rompers and knitwear.
## 3. Fabric
* **Organic Cotton:** Huge trend. Ensure they have the **GOTS Certificate** (Global Organic Textile Standard). A lot of "Organic" claims are fake.
## Summary
Parents pay a premium for safety. Push the "Organic" and "Safe" angle in your marketing.
